@Mike Never heard of it to be honest. Perhaps baat mite be "bite" if someone had a very broad West Cork accent but that's streching it to be honest.

Hey there,
I saw and liked your Cork list of slang. I’m wondering if you know the term “baat” used to describe either a bite to eat or a kind of breakfast sandwich. I’m trying to confirm its definition for a written piece and if you can let me know if you know it, I’d appreciate it.
