So it turns out Lorri is a natural at snowboarding. Me however not so much. Not only can I not go downhill for more than 10 seconds before falling and hurting my arse but I cant even stand up again without assistance. I’m going to keep at it anyway and Lorri loves it so it’s all good. It’ll be good craic once we get the hang of it I’d say. Check out my snowboarding album below (Click to expand). I miss Germany. Driving on roads with no speed limit is exactly as much fun as it sounds. This is what the Police over there have to keep up with people.
Went to the amusement park yesterday where they had a Halloween Theme. Good fun. And even though it was a long weekend I wasnt drinking.
I must be getting old.
Went to Niagara Falls over the weekend. Really enjoyed it. I thought the Falls would be bigger but I guess you hear so much about it that it’s bound to be slightly disappointing. Having said that once I really sat back and looked at it, it’s fecking huge!
What was a pleasant surprise was the town itself. It was “Tack-tastic”. Ripleys believe it or not, A moving Movie Theatre, Guinness World Records, loads of arcades (some serving alcohol) and loads of other tacky places. Didn’t get to even see a portion of them so I’m definitely going to go back some time. It’s only an hours drive from where I am living to it’s easy.
Also did the Whirlpool Boat. I’d advise anyone who is in Niagara Falls to make the short trip to Niagara on the Lake to do the Whirlpool Boat. Great craic. Unfortunately no photos or videos as the camera would have been thrown overboard.
