I went to see Rammstein in Cleveland over the weekend. Best gig ever! I highly recommend anyone go and see them. If their music is a little heavy for you you should still go as the stage show is fantastic! I’ve a video below if you want to get a taste. Went to see the Rubberbandits last night as part of the Canadian Music Week. Great craic. Unfortunately I don’t think the organisers understood how popular they are with the Irish. There were very few people there for the first two bands. The place was practically empty when the “main event” was on but it was packed for the Rubberbandits. Unfortunately since they weren’t the main event they only played for around 45 minutes. Hopefully they will come back again in the future for a dedicated gig.
Went to see Dropkick Murphys yesterday in Toronto. Great band! The last time I saw them was in Cork during the Icelandic volcano. They had to get a ferry over from Central Europe. legends. They obviously love their work and respect their fans.

Started snowboarding recently. It’s good fun, even though I suck at it! Lorri on the other hand is a natural. She zipped down the hill while I was rolling around like a turtle on my back. I can’t even get back to my feet when I fall down.
Still though we enjoyed it so we got ourselves some gear today. Although I couldn’t find a helmet to fit my comically large head.
Gong Hei Fat Choi! This year for the Lunar New Year celebrated in China, Korea and Vietnam, we had a Chinese Lion in the office in VMware.
Went out last night for a few drinks and I was introduced to “Pub Golf“. Basically you have to drink a designated drink in as few goes as possible in each if 9 bars. You lose points for drinking with your right hand, going to the toilet in certain bars and other such stuff. It’s good fun!
Anybody ever been on the express walkway in Toronto Airport? I’d so much fun I nearly went back to do it again! This video doesn’t do the speed justice.

Went to Niagara Falls over the weekend. Really enjoyed it. I thought the Falls would be bigger but I guess you hear so much about it that it’s bound to be slightly disappointing. Having said that once I really sat back and looked at it, it’s fecking huge!
What was a pleasant surprise was the town itself. It was “Tack-tastic”. Ripleys believe it or not, A moving Movie Theatre, Guinness World Records, loads of arcades (some serving alcohol) and loads of other tacky places. Didn’t get to even see a portion of them so I’m definitely going to go back some time. It’s only an hours drive from where I am living to it’s easy.
Also did the Whirlpool Boat. I’d advise anyone who is in Niagara Falls to make the short trip to Niagara on the Lake to do the Whirlpool Boat. Great craic. Unfortunately no photos or videos as the camera would have been thrown overboard.
